A friend shared multiplying onions with me early last spring. I wasn't really sure how they grew. But grow they did. I harvested then as green onions in the spring and again this fall and winter. They are gorgeous blooming in earlty summer when it is hot. I need to divide them soon as they are filling up a lot of space in my box.
