What a nice surprise I had when I got home today. This Magnolia stellata was blooming. I was so surprised because the buds seemed small to me yesterday. I bought this tree last spring when it was in bloom because I fell in love with it. Mind you, I have yet to figure out where to plant it. Obviously it is tough because it is still in the same black plastic pot it came in. I know I shouldn't buy plants unless I have a spot for them in the garden but when I fall in love I can't think rationally.
