What a lovely day it was at Trinity Ridge Alpaca Farm in Kemp Texas today. Janet had a studio day with ladies gathering to knit. People into fiber are just so nice and it is such fun to see what everyone is busy making. There were ladies from Paris, Colleyville, Athens, Wills Point and the surrounding area. It is so neat that everyone is willing to drive an hour or two (or more) to gather together to share the day.
The animals were beautiful and the new baby just precious. The natural color of the fiber is spectacular.
Of course I was compelled to buy yarn. I just loved the fact that I could walk outside and meet the animals that the yarn came from. What a treat! Alpaca is so soft and warm I will look forward to making something special with my little treasures.
I love the distant picture group of alpacas. Sounds like a great day and the yarn looks too yummy. I don't think I could have resisted it either!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos, I'm afraid I wouldn't been able to resist the yarn either! Thanks for sharing the day. What fun!
ReplyDeleteOH MY! I think it would be hard for me not to come home without that baby alpaca!! But I guess the yarn would be the next best thing. Looks like a really fun day.
ReplyDeleteGreen. Just paint me green (envy kind of green). Oh, those alpaca are so stinkin' cute!! This is my kind of adventure. ;) blessings ~ tanna
